Arne Vodder Tambour Credenza w/ Rare Configuration of Caned Door + Steel Legs.

Featured at Kensington

We are proud to present this outstanding teak sideboard designed by Arne Vodder in the mid-50, and originally purchased in Copenhagen in 1957/58 at the famed Alton Dam showroom.

Unusual in its details, it features two tambour doors that cover three bays within the piece. These include two areas with adjustable shelved storage, and a panel of shallower, adjustable drawers.

A door on the right has a caned front that opens to adjustable shelving with a ‘wrap-around’ shelf for barware or similar sized pieces. The case sits on steels legs capped with teak feet.

The piece is fully finished on all sides so it may be placed in the center of a room as a room divider. The teak has aged to a beautiful deep honey color, highlighting the beautiful figuring in the grain.
