• A remarkable ’50s design based on the style of Paul McCobb. Of mixed materials, it combines an iron frame with a wood head rest and upholstered seat.
• Overall, the effect is very sculptural, especially the modernist interpretation of the backrest, making one think about all the historical styles of chairs up to this moment.
• The legs splay out for sturdiness and the seat is rather wide. The wood of the upper back appears to hover over it all, a suggestion of the chairs that have come before. One of the foot caps is missing on one of the chairs.
