Serving the metro-DC area since 2010, Modern Mobler is a vintage furnishings retailer with both DC & MD locations. We specialize in Mid 20th-Century furnishings from the best designers and manufacturers of the '50s - '70s. We have one of the largest collections of American, Danish and European furniture on the East Coast. Our pieces are acquired through Modern Mobler's vast network of strategic partners and European importers.
What began as a passion evolved into an obsession, resulting in over 15,000 square feet of combined showroom and storage inventory featuring fine wood furniture, lamps, paintings and other décor accents to complete your home or office interior design. Inventory changes frequently with new items arriving weekly; pieces often do not make it onto the website before being sold. With only a small sample of our vast collection on the showroom floor and website, visit often so you can find your perfect piece.
Douglas Meyers, owner of Modern Mobler, is passionate about the designs of the era and has been collecting vintage furniture since the late 1990's. He cherry picks pieces for the stores with his discriminating eye, emphasizing design and functionality. Modern Mobler has established its reputation of offering superior quality vintage furniture in excellent condition. These pieces of functional art will add a unique flavor to your space, and the superb construction means your furniture will last for another 50 years. As Doug says, "At Modern Mobler you're not just buying furniture, you're investing in a legacy."
Modern Mobler provides complementary services including space and design assistance, furniture restoration, and upholstery options. Shipping is available worldwide, with local delivery typically being done the same day. We pride ourselves on excellent customer service and are very pleased to assist in finding the right piece for your space.
