This is a rather more stately and elegant suite of Danish Modern furniture than we often see. This is a sofa and pair of matching arm chairs designed by Ole Wanscher, featuring a simple exposed rosewood frame and blue upholstery on the front and back. The elegance comes not only from the use of upholstery throughout the piece but also from the gracious curve of the top of the back and the arms, and the witty little curve at the bottom of the back legs. Such beautiful and clean lines! The Danish blue of the upholstery complements the dark rosewood frame in a favorite combination. And in true Danish style, these pieces are as comfortable to sit in as they are to behold.
