G-Plan was a pioneering line of furniture in the United Kingdom, produced by E Gomme Ltd of High Wycombe. In 1953 Donald Gomme designed a range of modern furniture with the distinguishing features of a fine mahogany case set on a black ebonized chassis with distinctive brass handles.
Here we have his “Tallboy” with its beautiful ribbon mahogany. Elegant in size and form, the tall but compact case “floats” on its ebonized base. It is a striking piece and makes a statement in any room. With seven drawers it offers plenty of storage while not taking up much space!
