G-Plan was a pioneering line of furniture in the United Kingdom, produced by E Gomme Ltd of High Wycombe. In 1953 Donald Gomme designed a range of modern furniture with such distinguishing features as a fine mahogany case set on a black ebonised legs and bases.
Here we have a wonderful sideboard with beautiful ribbon mahogany set off against the black ebonized base and door and accented by brass trim and distinctive handles. A highly functional piece offering lots of storage which includes a drop down door revealing a compartment with a shelf, two sliding doors opening to a large storage section and two drawers, one which is black felt-lined and partitioned for items such as silver.
