Great find here! This is a rare hat or wig stand from the now-defunct Stangl Pottery of Trenton, NJ. These charming heads were a funky departure for the company which typically produced dishware. They were made for one year only — 1968. The Stangl heads were not signed but came with stick on labels; this one has lost her label. There is also an internal crack in the base and has been priced taking this into consideration. Don’t be fooled by the grotesque copies you may see elsewhere on the internet!
