The top is comprised of drop leaves on a gateleg base, which enables this piece to be compacted or extended. It goes from approximately 9″ wide to 110″ wide, with multiple length options in between, making it suitable for a variety of situations. It is ideal for smaller homes because it can be folded down and stored against the wall. The walnut has aged to a beautiful rich patina.
Born in Sweden, architect and furniture maker Bruno Mathsson designed in a style characterized as functional modernism, influenced by old Swedish crafts tradition.
