We are extremely pleased to offer this gorgeous two-piece Bernhard, Pedersen & Son, Denmark, sideboard, comprised of a display top and storage cabinet. The display top is divided into two sections, each having an adjustable shelf and sliding glass doors. Each of the glass doors have an incised handle.
The mid-sized storage cabinet has two tambour doors that meet in the middle; these are as functional as they are beautiful since you don’t need the extra room that a door opening out requires. The doors each have a vertical sculpted handle.
The distinctive feature on both pieces, top and bottom, are the rounded corners framing the doors on each. This is echoed on the ‘legs’ of the top, which have curved sides.
The teak on this is especially luscious and has aged to a warm, honey patina. Additionally, the back is fully finished so it can be used as a room divider in an open area. Bernhard, Pedersen & Sons was a high-end manufacturer; you can see and feel the quality of the piece. This is Danish design at its best, when beauty and functionality marry in a happy union.
