Rare 1950’s Danish Teak Vanity / Writing Desk by Madsen

This beautiful little piece is a teak vanity table designed by Svend Madsen. A slim case is supported within a frame of slender legs. Lift up the center panel and you find a mirror that stands and compartments underneath for sundries. Drawers on either side hold further implements. Each drawer has a tiny round knob for a pull.

A ledge around three sides of the surface prevents items from falling off the top. As with most of Madsen’s designs, the lines of this piece are ultra minimalist and super sexy.
