  • The beauty and craftsmanship of mid-century furniture is right here on this Modernist expanding dining table
  • Gorgeous walnut graining has been used decoratively in four quarters of the table top
  • Stunning thick round walnut tapered legs are attached to the table top with thoughtful detail contributing to the gracious design
  • Two leaves measuring 18″ each allow you to entertain 10-12 people
  • Designed by Erno Fabry, the somewhat forgotten, Czech-born architect who immigrated to the US on the threshold of World War II.
  • He worked with such design luminaries as Norman Bel Geddes before establishing his own highly successful firm.
  • He was the designer of numerous buildings, furniture, and even textiles.
  • Fabry was counted among the most prolific European-born tastemakers to successfully transmit modern design to the American home of the 1940s through 1960s, even though his career has gone largely unrecorded.
