Rare Danish Teak Sewing / Serving Bar Cart With Dual Opening Drawer

This beautiful, small teak cart was obtained for us in Denmark by our personal importer. It is a precious piece with lots of possibilities. Originally intended as a sewing cart, it could certainly still function as such but we also envision it in a personal space for jewelry and accessories storage, as an end table or nightstand, or even as a mobile bar/serving cart.
From a functional standpoint, it can’t be beat with its double-sided sliding front/back drawer and shelf below for added storage. The drawer is accented with raffia that appears to have been embroidered onto the surface of both sides, emphasizing its use for sewing. There is a removable sliding ‘organizer’ tray inside the drawer as well. It is on wheels that roll smoothly so it can be moved and positioned easily where you want it.
These smaller, delicate pieces are hard to find because they typically are thrown away for not being “real furniture” (in the way way a dresser or sideboard is), making them all the more precious and rare.
