The elongated lines and proportions to this set of six teak chairs make them supremely elegant, Designed by Koefoed Hornslet, these are Danish Modern and date to the ’60s. The three vertical back slats taper not only in form from a wider bottom to a narrow top but the slat is actually curved to support the back of the sitter. This curve echoes the shape of the back frame of the chair.
Seen in profile, the back of the chair gracefully bows in the middle at the seat while the legs thrust back slightly. The turned legs are tapered. This set is upholstered on the seat with an oatmeal colored fabric. Truly a beautiful, comfortable and a well-made set of chairs!
