This stunning one-of-a-kind cabinet was hand-crafted of black walnut by a highly respected artisan. A practicing cosmetic surgeon, he had a great eye for creating beauty, skilled with his hands and meticulous in his execution of all things. This is a piece he showcased in his own home.
In the manner of George Nakashima, this showstopper provides excellent storage as well as dramatic beauty. The storage is comprised of varying sized drawers on the front, each highlighted with a simple chrome pull in the center top of each. The cantilevered top is very dramatic with an undulating edge and significant overhang on each end and the front.The gorgeous wood has a tortoiseshell effect in warm reddish-brown hues.
An impressive sideboard, this cabinet will be command a room yet work gracefully with other furniture in the same room.
